About the uk’s national miss pageant
UK’s National Miss is an award winning pageant system for girls and women aged 12+. There is no upper age limit and the competition covers England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland.
UK’s National Miss is a pageant like no other! It will include all of the glamour of a pageant plus the opportunity to grow confidence & gain real world skills…combined with all of the fun of the girliest weekend with your friends.
In 2020, when the UK was in lockdown due to the Covid19 pandemic, Holly Pirrie (director of Pageant Girl Ltd) founded the UK’s National Miss pageant. After much consideration, Holly looked at what else could be brought to the pageant industry in the UK – and the competition was born. UK’s National Miss has all of the glamour of a pageant but with extra team-building activities & even more opportunities to make memories that will last a life time.
What happens at the finals?
Whether you are a total newcomer or someone who has competed before, it can be daunting arriving to compete at a pageant. However, our Pageant Girl team ensure that your nerves are put at ease as soon as you arrive. We are all here to ensure that everyone has the most amazing time!
Welcome & Pageant Check-in
The UK’s National Miss Pageant is a two day event & as soon as you arrive, you will be greeted by our friendly team. We are here to support you & to answer any questions that you may have at the pageant check-in.
We launch the event with a welcome speech with Holly, the director of the pageant. Holly used to compete in pageants herself and so, she knows exactly how you feel with your nerves & excitement bubbling inside. Her welcome tends to cover every question possible and always makes the girls feel relaxed & excited for the days ahead! You will be given all of the information in the lead up to the grand finals, and our team are always on hand to help!
Day 1 – Activities
We are planning for the UK’s National Miss pageant to be extra-special. On the first day, we will be arranging group & individual photoshoots, confidence building & empowerment workshops and Pageant Girl Team Challenges. Keep your eyes peeled for special announcements on our Day 1 activities!
Day 1 – PJ Party
In the evening of the first day, we will have our Pageant Girl PJ Party. This is the perfect Girlie Night In and is a great way to meet the other finalists and relax before the finals!
Day 2 – Rehearsals & Grand Finals
On the second day, we will start rehearsals on the catwalk. Many of our finalists have never done anything like this before and so, do not worry if you are unsure – we will be with you every step of the way! Our expert team are here to help, and will show you everything that you need to know for the stage.
This is also when the finalists will meet with the judges for their interview. At UK’s National Miss, our judges are looking to see the very best in the contestants & for this reason, every finalist has a friendly & relaxed interview. This is done in private (not onstage) and is a chance for the judges to meet the finalists properly. It is a short chat and great way for the judges to see your personality!
In the evening, it is time for the grand final! The finalists take to the stage in three rounds – sports wear, fashion wear and evening wear. This is when the contestants feel super glamourous and sassy! It is amazing and empowering to hear the audience cheering and supporting you. The judges will be looking at poise, stage presence & confidence, this is all about being comfortable in your own skin and believing in yourself!
UK’s National Miss breaks many pageant stereotypes; we know that beauty is completely subjective, and this is not about being ‘the prettiest girl’…. as everyone finds different qualities attractive and so, who can define that?! Rather, our judges are looking for a winner who will be an outstanding representative for all of our contestants – someone who will represent our organisation with pride & who lights up a room with her personality and ambition. We have 5 Queens crowned, one for each division! This could be you!
